Google Cloud has announced an expansion of its Startups Program to provide Web3 projects and startups with additional benefits and resources. This expansion aims to equip Web3 builders with the tools and support they need to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure.
The Initiative
The updated program, which builds on the existing “Google for Startups Cloud Program,” offers Web3-specific benefits such as up to $200,000 over two years in Google Cloud credits, technical and collaboration support, and more. Eligible Web3 technology projects from pre-seed to Series A can apply for the program and opt-in for these benefits.
Partnerships and Grants
Additionally, the program offers access to grants from Aptos, Celo, Flow, the HBAR Foundation, Near, and the Solana Foundation. These founding partners will provide exclusive grants of up to $1 million to accelerate the growth of Web3 startups. Moreover, participants can benefit from up to $3 million in investments from the Polygon Ventures Ecosystem Fund and enjoy priority review from the Ventures Team, along with other Polygon Venture benefits.
Perks and Discounts
Google Cloud’s expanded program also offers discounts on Nansen products and engagement fees, credits for Alchemy, and priority access to Alchemy University. Furthermore, participants will receive priority review for the Base Ecosystem Fund and access to testnet.
Google Cloud’s Web3 Commitment
Google Cloud has been involved with Web3 since 2018, when it added datasets for Bitcoin. Since then, it has formed partnerships with industry leaders like Coinbase and BNB Chain. The collaboration with Celo Foundation earlier this month is another example of Google Cloud’s commitment to supporting the growth of Web3 projects.
