Independent game studio Toys for Bob, known for its recent split from Microsoft-owned Activision, has reportedly entered into an agreement with Xbox for a new game. This news was revealed during a recent town hall meeting, according to Windows Central. Toys for Bob is the creative force behind the 2018’s Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4, as well as the Nintendo Switch port for the N. Sane Trilogy.
Toys for Bob New Game Details
As of now, there are no specific details about what the new title might be. However, Xbox’s Matt Booty hinted that it would align with the type of games Toys for Bob is known for. The studio also led the development of the early Skylanders toys-to-life games. Despite its recent departure from the Activision Blizzard/Microsoft family, Toys for Bob indicated that it would remain open to collaborating with its former employer on future projects.
In February, Toys for Bob expressed its interest in exploring a potential partnership with Microsoft for their new studio. They also expressed confidence in their continued close work with Activision and Microsoft. “So, keep your horns on and your eyes out for more news,” the studio wrote.
