Applied Digital brought another 75 MW of AI infrastructure online at Polaris Forge 1, completing the second phase of Building 2. The company announced the milestone on Oct. 02, 2026, bringing the campus’s fully operational critical IT load to 250 MW.
The latest delivery covers three 25 MW data halls. Applied Digital said Building 2 now has its full 150 MW of critical IT load ready for service.
Applied Digital Completes Building 2
The company’s Polaris Forge 1 announcement distinguishes operational capacity from the campus’s planned full buildout. The fully leased AI Factory Campus is contracted to deliver 400 MW of critical IT load when complete.

The new phase follows the first 100 MW building and Building 2’s initial 75 MW phase. Applied Digital described the latest milestone as achieving Ready for Service.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Wes Cummins said securing power is only the beginning of delivering infrastructure. The company must also design, build, commission and operate facilities before customers can use that capacity.
“Bringing another 75 MW of AI infrastructure online at Polaris Forge 1 further demonstrates our ability to turn large-scale power into operational AI infrastructure,” Cummins said.
Cummins said Applied Digital continues scaling that capability across its platform. The announcement presents the completed data halls as an operational delivery rather than simply a power commitment.

Ellendale Campus Continues Expanding
Polaris Forge 1 is in Ellendale, North Dakota. Applied Digital said it has operated there since 2021 and developed relationships with local leaders, partners and community stakeholders.
The company said responsible development and local partnerships remain priorities as the campus expands. It also described creating long-term community value as part of that approach.
Applied Digital is headquartered in Dallas, TX, and was founded in 2021. The company designs, builds and operates data centers and colocation services.
Its stated workloads include artificial intelligence, cloud, networking and blockchain. Applied Digital describes its facilities as purpose-built for high-performance computing, machine learning and other accelerated-compute applications.

Future Construction Remains Subject To Risks
Applied Digital cautioned that forward-looking statements depend on current expectations and uncertain future events. The release identified campus construction, leasing and financing among the matters that could affect future performance.
The company listed changing AI and high-performance computing infrastructure needs as another risk. Power disruptions, equipment failures and access to capital also appear in its cautionary statement.
Those cautions concern future plans and performance. They sit alongside the company’s announcement that the latest 75 MW phase has reached Ready for Service.
Related business coverage includes North American investment uncertainty. For Polaris Forge 1, the next stated capacity milestone remains the contracted 400 MW full buildout, while 250 MW is now operational.
