Stripe-owned Privy and Ripple have partnered to integrate crypto wallet infrastructure onto the XRPL blockchain, aiming to simplify the development of payments and agentic experiences for developers. This collaboration will allow businesses to more easily build and manage cryptocurrency wallets on the XRPL network.
The XRPL blockchain, designed for the transfer and exchange of digital assets like stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets, has processed $1 trillion in value over its 14 years of operation and has accumulated 8 million funded accounts. The integration with Privy will enable developers to programmatically create and manage XRPL wallets, sign transactions, and build applications utilizing XRP, RLUSD, and other digital assets on the blockchain. It will also facilitate x402 payments for agentic commerce.
Privy Co-Founder and CEO Henri Stern expressed enthusiasm for making Privy wallets accessible to developers building on XRPL, stating, “Stablecoins are changing how money moves, and XRPL has been building for payments from the start.” He added that the partnership will support applications ranging from global payments to agentic commerce and future innovations.

Markus Infanger, senior vice president of RippleX at Ripple, highlighted Privy’s role in simplifying XRPL integration for FinTechs and developers. “Privy brings proven wallet infrastructure that makes it easier for FinTechs and developers to bring XRPL into real products, from payments and stablecoin experiences to emerging forms of agentic commerce,” Infanger said. He emphasized that XRPL’s fast settlement, low transaction costs, and native digital asset support provide a robust foundation for scalable financial products.
This partnership follows Ripple’s earlier efforts to enhance developer capabilities on XRPL. In June, Ripple focused on the agentic payments market by releasing new tools, documentation, and integrations for building agentic payment applications on the blockchain. The company also explored adding a lending layer to XRPL, which would enable institutions to borrow against on-chain assets.
Stripe’s acquisition of Privy in June 2025 was intended to deepen the company’s engagement in the digital asset sector. At the time of the acquisition, Stern indicated that the combination would accelerate Privy’s efforts to bridge the gap between cryptocurrency and fiat currencies. The integration with Ripple and XRPL represents a significant step in this direction, extending crypto wallet capabilities to a widely used blockchain infrastructure.

The collaboration aims to streamline the process for businesses and developers to leverage blockchain technology for financial services. By providing robust wallet infrastructure, Privy and Ripple intend to foster innovation in digital asset payments and commerce on the XRPL blockchain. Future plans for the integration include the addition of policy controls and gas sponsorship, further enhancing the utility and accessibility of XRPL for developers and users alike.
The XRPL blockchain is designed for efficient and low-cost transfer of digital assets. Its architecture supports a variety of assets, including stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets. This partnership leverages XRPL’s existing capabilities to introduce more sophisticated wallet functionalities.
The development also aligns with broader industry trends toward digital asset adoption and the creation of more integrated financial ecosystems. By making it easier to build and manage crypto wallets on XRPL, Privy and Ripple are working to expand the use cases for blockchain technology in payments and commerce.
The integration is expected to benefit developers by reducing the complexity of building blockchain-based applications. This can lead to faster deployment of new financial products and services.
